Gramps and the Water Hose

My grandparents (Gerald Ray--Bud and Lillian Leonard) lived in another neighborhood close to our neighborhood when we lived in Hayward, California.  I would go and stay with them after I got out of school--kindergarten and 1st grade.  I loved to tease my grandfather.  One day he was out watering, and I kept stepping on the hose so the water wouldn't come out=--giggling and having a fun time.  Gramps finally had had enough, and he jerked the hose so that it came out from under me and I fell on the cement, hurting my head.  Needless to say, everyone was SCARED.  Yet, I was ok, and I never teased my grandfather again by stepping on the hose when he was watering.  I just found other ways to tease him.  :)
